The Supreme Court in Mississippi recently overturned the voter-approved legalization of medical cannabis. That doesn't mean that there will not be a medical marijuana program soon. Get on the waiting list now. As soon as patient registrations are being accepted, we will have a certified physician contact you.
The medical cannabis program in Mississippi is still to be determined. However, most states provide a temporary card that patients can download and print, once they have been approved. That makes it fast and easy to visit a medical dispensary the same day you get your confirmation.
When you have your Mississippi medical card, you will need to present a driver's license (or other form of government-issued ID) along with your medical card. The dispensary will require both forms of ID in order to provide you with medical cannabis.
There will be many advantages to having a Mississippi medical card. One of the first advantages is that you will get suggestions from the dispensary, that are customized for your health needs. Another benefit is the ongoing care and supervision of a certified marijuana doctor. If your health conditions change, your referring practitioner can provide advice.
Bring your medical card, and government-issued ID to the dispensary. Get suggestions on cannabis strains that may help manage your symptoms.
Patients can save 15% or more on each purchase. Some people save over $500 a year by using their medical card.
Medical cannabis being an essential service in most states means patients get priority access to their favorite products over recreational users.
Some states require regular follow-up appointments throughout the year. Learn from a physician how to get the most out of your cannabis. Because the Mississippi medical marijuana program is not yet launched, we do not know if a follow-up appointment will be legally required. But if it's not, it is still a good idea. The referring doctor can help you monitor changing symptoms.
When you do get your Mississippi medical card, don't let it expire! It is far easier to renew a medical card. If your card expires, renewal is no longer an option, and you will have to apply all over again. Including the preliminary visit with a certified doctor for your medical card health evaluation. Remember to renew on time!
Fill out the appointment request form. Just a few simple questions will help us match you to a local provider for your medical cannabis health evaluation.
Connect with a provider whose specialty is relevant to your stated qualifying condition(s).
Many states allow you to visit with a doctor online or via phone from the comfort of your own home.
Access for 18-20 Year-Olds
If you are 18 years of age or older, you do not have to wait to get access to medical marijuana. Parental consent is not required. Recreational users must be 21 or older.
Increased Possession Limits
Patients are allowed to purchase, carry, and own larger quantities of marijuana than recreational users. In some states, medical card holders are allowed to grow at home.
Save Money on Medical Cannabis
Most states have massive taxes on marijuana products. Medical card holders are exempt from most of those taxes.
Greater Product Accessibility
Medical cannabis patients get access to a wider range of products. Choose from more diverse ratios of cannabinoids such as CBD, CBG, and CBN, which can help reduce inflammation.
Cannabis Tourism
Your medical card may be accepted in many other states. This allows you to access many new products, new strains, and get your medicine while traveling.
Legal Protection of Consumption
With a medical card, your ability to purchase, store, and consume cannabis is legally protected, as long as you buy from a licensed dispensary.
The current version of Mississippi Bill 711 lists some of the proposed qualifying health conditions. It is likely that more health conditions will be added after the medical cannabis bill is ratified and passed in NC. The current health conditions that can make you eligible for a Mississippi medical card include:
I was looking for a place to get my MMMP card. I found this site and they sent me to the AMMA Medical Clinic. I loved it. I was not there forever. It was a great experience, and I will be sending my friends.
I am so grateful for this site for giving me the information and referrals I need to get treated for breast cancer with [natural medicine] instead of harsh chemicals and radiation. I was guided through the whole process and I have been using the sublingual tincture with 1:1 ratio, and I am feeling fantastic.
Hello. I would like to say that I have had a pleasant experience with this website. They have been very helpful. I told them I was older, and they walked me through the steps I needed to do. Everyone did what they said. In today’s environment, that is a rare and good thing for people to have a genuine concern. Thank you.
