This strain can be uniquely identified with the help of its large flowers and unique shape. The leaves of this strain are green in color but covered with a layer of curly orange and brown hair. Tangerine Kush has also been associated with a unique aroma – a strong initial orange flavor, with sugary sweet undertones. The makeup of this strain is dominantly Indica with some hints of Sativa. It is a hybrid strain, created with a cross of Sativa hybrid Tangerine Haze and Indica strain Rare Darkness.
The strain is quite strong and hits rather quickly. The high associated may often make you feel lazy, and your body heavy. However, it allows for the quick flow of thoughts and is associated with increased attention and focus. This high is rather short-lived, and you will come off from the high rather quickly, as compared to most other Indica strains. Due to its sedative characteristics, Tangerine Kush is best kept reserved for use at night.
Tangerine Kush can help patients with low concentration and attention deficit to focus better on their tasks at hand. It has also been linked with patients having high levels of stress, anxiety, or insomnia.
