Connecticut Medical Marijuana Program Details

CT Marijuana Legislation: HB 5389 Signed into law by Gov. Dannel P. Malloy on May 31, 2012 and approved by the House 96-51, by Senate 21-13. Under connecticut state law a qualifying CT patient who has a valid medical marijuana registration certificate shall not be subject to arrest or prosecution, penalized in any manner or denied any right or privilege as long as a Connecticut medical marijuana doctor has provided the patient with proper written documentation showing the patient has a valid Qualifying Condition.

CT Marijuana Cultivation: Qualifying patients may possess a usable amount of marijuana necessary to ensure uninterrupted availability for a period of one month, as determined by the DCP after a Connecticut medical marijuana doctor has provided the patient with proper documentation. No personal growing is allowed in Connecticut by an individual patient although a patient may designate 1 caregiver to grow on their behalf.
