Marijuana Dispensaries in Pensacola, FL
The fight against chronic and terminal illnesses has a new weapon. Medical marijuana is a treatment that is gaining popular acceptance. In Florida, it’s been legalized for patients struggling with state-approved debilitating conditions.
Medical Marijuana Treatment Centers allow patients to gain access to cannabis medications — both those with higher CBD ratios and more traditional medical marijuana. Although Florida law limits the number of centers throughout the state, there are treatment centers available in Pensacola.
How to Become a State-Registered Patient
Treatment centers are only for those patients who have gone through the Department of Health’s application process and have a current Medical Marijuana Use Registry Identification Card. To get your card, make sure you have a qualifying condition and follow these steps:
Meet with a DOH-approved Florida physician.
Ask them to verify your condition and enter you into the Medical Marijuana Use Registry.
Submit your application along with all needed documents and the registration fee.
Wait to receive your identification card.
Visiting a Treatment Center
Medical Marijuana Treatment Centers are more than just run-of-the-mill dispensaries. They’re facilities designed to provide compassionate care and treatments to the patients that need them the most.
When you visit one of these locations, keep in mind:
The staff will need to verify your identity by seeing your state-issued ID and medical marijuana identification card.
They’ll work with your doctor’s recommendation to find the proper medications and dosage for your condition and symptoms.
You’ll either be directed to items low in THC and high in CBD or those with a normal ratio of CBD and THC.
Smokeable products are prohibited in Florida, but you can purchase oils, capsules and other forms of cannabis for vaporization.
Getting Your Products
Most Florida treatment centers offer three ways to obtain your medical marijuana purchase: in store, pick-up and delivery. Be sure to check with your dispensary of choice to work out the best method to pick up your purchase.
