Does the future of contactless service at medical dispensaries lie with revitalizing old banks for a new secure drive-through product? Having trouble sleeping? If you haven’t heard about Coronasomnia, it is real, according to health experts. And they say COVID-19 related stressors are disrupting our sleep and can be damaging to our health.
And we have two different types of cannabinoids that you probably haven’t heard of. Who knew there were more types than CBD and THC? We did! And one of them functions a lot like Delta-9 THC!
Marijuana News: First Drive-Through Dispensary Opens in Pennsylvania
The first dispensary in Pennsylvania to provide ‘drive through’ cannabis opened in an old bank building. Located in Robinson Township a dispensary created the perfect way to offer patients contactless customer service.
Patients visiting the medical cannabis dispensary have access to a very sophisticated drive-through system. That’s because The Healing Research Center was built inside a building that used to be a bank. Complete with a professional pneumatic tube system.
Locals with a medical card can visit The Healing Research Center for their pick-up after ordering online. Patients put their medical card and a second piece of government-issued photo identification into the pneumatic tube, along with payment. And you know how the rest of the process goes. Information is verified by a budtender inside, the order is filled, and sent back through the pneumatic tube to the patient waiting in their car.
With COVID-19 Delta variant infection rates climbing again, patients are apprehensive about going into retail environments. Especially if they have health conditions that compromise their immune system, this is a touchless, secure and hygienic way for patients with a medical card to pick up their cannabis products without unnecessary risk.
Just think about how many dispensaries might use the same idea to transform retired banks into state-of-the-art dispensaries with pandemic proof customer service. Pick a lane! Any lane of the drive-through and your cannabis will arrive shortly.
Marijuana News: Sha’Carri Richardson Olympic Ban Becomes a Spotlight Moment
Do professional athletes use cannabis medicinally? Even though they are routinely spot-checked and randomly tested for drug use, as many as 80% of athletes use cannabis. Whether that is to cope with the extreme emotional pressure of being a celebrity and help manage anxiety or depression. Or athletes that use cannabis in lieu of prescription drugs for pain and inflammation. The answer is yes. Many do.
Which is why the suspension of U.S. runner Sha’Carri Richardson is a polarizing event. Some feel that it is time to remove cannabis from the list of anti-doping substances, given the increased worldwide adoption of medical marijuana. Other people think that under no circumstances should cannabis be used by any Olympic athlete. It not only ‘games’ the system, but it can create safety risks.
When House Representatives Jamie Raskin (D) and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D) reached out to the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) about Sha’Carri Richardson, they asked for a reversal of the suspension. And WADA reminded the Representatives that America was instrumental in creating the tough regulations on drug use. In fact, the United States insisted on including cannabis as a controlled substance back in 2004.
Will this change if the U.S. Can the House of Representatives and Senate push through’ federal legalization and decriminalization with The MORE Act?

A Cannabinoid You Don’t Know? Meet THC-O!
A not-so-distant member of the cannabinoid family is THC-O. You may have heard it called ATHC or THC-O-Acetate in marijuana news. But don’t mix it up with THCA, which is what happens when you decarboxylate cannabis. And THC-O takes a lot more than a few baking sheets or your Air Fryer to create at home; it would take a full high-school chemistry laboratory.
Going back about fifty years, the U.S. government was so interested in THC-O that it tested it as a potential weapon. Nope, we’re not kidding. Because it still would qualify as chemical warfare, it would immobilize enemy troops by making them sleepy. Very. Very. Sleepy. And possibly given them a massive case of the munchies.
Check out the interesting history of THC-O, learn what it is, why it’s different from your plain Mary Jane THC, and why it may be the new Delta-8, as states start to crack down on delta cannabinoids.
