California Medical Cannabis Program Details for Patients

CA Marijuana Legislation: Approved November 5, 1996 by a 56% majority rules by california residents. Removes state-level criminal penalties on using, possessing and cultivating Medical Cannabisby patients who possess a "Marijuana Recommendation" from their treating physician stating that the patient "Would benefit from the use of medical marijuana". Patients that are diagnosed with any debilitating illness where the medical use of marijuana has been "Deemed appropriate and has been recommended by a physician" are afforded legal protection under the Proposition 215 Act. CA Cultivation Details: Qualified patients and their primary caregivers may possess no more than eight ounces of dried marijuana and/or six mature (or 12 immature) marijuana plants.

CA State Program Fee: $66 non Medi-Cal / $33 Medi-Cal, plus additional county fees (varies by location)
