Gelato strains are often legendary in their own way, and Bacio Gelato is no exception. This 50/50 hybrid blend of Sativa and Indica is known for its sweet, rich taste and high THC content. Bacio Gelato is a potent strain with benefits for both medicinal and recreational cannabis users.

Origins and Genetics

Bacio Gelato is a mix of two popular strains: Sunset Sherbert and Thin Mint Cookies, which is itself a descendant of the infamous Girl Scout Cookies strain. Other ancestors of Bacio Gelato include Pink Panties, OG Kush, and Durban Poison. This strain was first bred by Sherbinskis.

This plant has thick, dark green leaves, deep orange pistils woven throughout, and plenty of crystallization. It typically has between 20 and 30% THC and 2% CBD, making it an ideal strain for people with a higher cannabis tolerance.

The Bacio Gelato strain has a terpene profile that includes caryophyllene, limonene, linalool, humulene, and trans-nerolidol, which makes it ideal for treating depression, chronic stress and pain, nausea, and anxiety.

Bacio Gelato Strain Effects

After smoking Bacio Gelato, users often notice the taste first. It has a sweet, smooth, and full-bodied flavor like a tasty dessert, which is reminiscent of its gelato heritage. Reviews of the strain often note this taste, which many say is their favorite.

Next comes the effects of the strain, inducing a deep sense of relaxation throughout both body and mind. However, it also produces a mentally uplifting and clear-headed experience due to its Durban Poison background. This blend of feelings creates a fun, euphoric, and chill buzz that’s good for relaxing after a stressful day, taking up a creative hobby, or indulging in a binge session of your favorite TV show. Additionally, this strain is notable for its arousing effects, making it a good choice for one-on-one sessions with your partner.

Growing Bacio Gelato at Home

This sturdy plant typically isn’t a first choice for beginners, but it can grow in indoor environments. It usually prefers large outdoor spaces and can produce up to 60 grams of cannabis per square foot of growth.

This plant needs high-intensity light, lower humidity (under 60%), and warm temperatures. It takes about 60 days to reach the flowering and harvesting stage. One important thing to note regarding the Bacio Gelato strain is its sensitivity to overwatering, so be sure to keep it on a regular schedule to prevent any issues.

By following a steady regimen and providing it with a stable environment, you’re sure to produce plenty of Bacio Gelato to enjoy right at home.
