Arizona Medical Cannabis Program Details for Patients

AZ Marijuana Legislation: Approved Nov. 2, 2010 by 50.13% majority rules by Arizona residents. Proposition 203 allows qualifying patients who possess a physician's arizona medical marijuana certification to obtain medical cannabis from a registered nonprofit dispensary.  In order to do so a doctor must provide the patient with medical records that shows the diagnose of a debilitating condition by determining that the patient would likely to receive benefit from medical cannabis. AZ Cultivation Regulations: Qualified Arizona patients may obtain up to 2.5 ounces of marijuana in a 14-day period from a registered nonprofit arizona medical marijuana provider. However, If the Arizona medical marijuana patient lives more than 25 miles from the nearest provider, then the patient or caregiver may cultivate up to 12 medical marijuana plants.

AZ State Program Fee: $150 payable to the state after the doctor completed his/her medical evaluation. $75 for Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program participants.
