What Should I Expect After Requesting an Appointment?

Congrats on taking the first step to better health and wellness!

IMPORTANT: You do NOT have a set appointment date/time. The date/time of your request must be confirmed by the clinic. If you do not hear back from them soon, give them a call! The clinic contact information is in the confirmation email you received after submitting your request.

Requesting an appointment with a certified medical cannabis healthcare provider is the first step to getting your medical card! But what should you expect now?

For All Types of Appointments

Usually, you will need some kind of medical record proving that you have a qualifying diagnosis. If you have a primary care physician or specialist, you can reach out to them for your medical records. If you don't have one of those, make sure you tell your new cannabis doctor! It may affect your ability to get a medical card in your state.

For In-Person Appointments

If you requested an in-person appointment at a physical clinic, you'll get an email confirming your appointment and telling you where you need to go and when. Please note that your appointment date and time must be confirmed by the clinic, first!

Tip: It doesn't hurt to reach out to your doctor's office to make sure they've got all of your information!

For Telehealth Appointments

If you booked a telehealth appointment, great news! This is super easy! You can visit with the doctor right from your couch! After your appointment is confirmed, you'll get an email and a text with a special link that ONLY YOU can use to enter your telehealth portal. Just click or tap on that link, enable camera and microphone in your browser, and you're good to go!

Notice: If you're using an iPhone, you may have to click the green button at the top of your telehealth session page for the doctor to see you.
