Due to concerns regarding the spread of the CoronaVirus, and with the best interests of our patients health in mind, we will be offering Online Visits. Patients who choose this option will be able to have a video chat with Dr. Spaar in lieu of an in-person visit.

Spectrum Family is the integrative medical office of Dr. Elizabeth Spaar. As a physician treating autism and PTSD, Dr. Spaar had seen the amazing benefits of medical cannabis even before the dispensaries opened in Pennsylvania through her participation in the Safe Harbor program. She has two children of her own with autism who have had life changing results being treated with medical marijuana and she is passionate about providing access to this crucial medicine to all patients with qualifying conditions. She is dedicated to education and ending the stigma generated by misinformation and bias in the medical community. Dr. Spaar understands patients suffering from PTSD and Anxiety often have trouble accessing formal medical documentation of their condition. She is able to do diagnostic evaluation at the appointment for those lacking documentation.

Pre-Visit Requirements
  1. Must be 18+ years of age. Patients who are minors must be accompanied by a parent, guardian, or registered caregiver during their appointment.
  2. All patients seeking treatment by Spectrum Family Practice must be a legal resident of PA and provide proof of residency.
  3. Patients must be diagnosed with a qualifying condition under PA State Law:
    • Patients with PTSD or Anxiety who lack a formal diagnosis are welcome to make an appointment without medical records, as a diagnostic evaluation can be conducted during their appointment
    • To obtain medical records confirming your diagnosis, complete a medical records release and send it to the doctor who has your records.
  4. Please confirm that Spectrum Family Practice has received your medical records prior to your appointment.
  5. Please call the office directly if you have any questions. The helpful staff at Spectrum Family Practice are knowledgable on all things related to medical marijuana in PA and aim to help patients navigate the guidelines set forth by the state of Pennsylvania.

Dr. Elizabeth Spaar D.O. is Board certified in Family Medicine, Integrative Pediatrics and Osteopathic Manipulation. She is a graduate of Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine and Latrobe Hospital Excela Health Family Medicine Residency. She is published in American Family Physician and has spoken at multiple medical conferences on the topics of medical marijuana, autism, PTSD, domestic violence and PANDAS. She has appeared on local and national news programs including CBS news about the topics of medical marijuana and the pediatric condition PANDAS. Her two oldest sons have had an amazing transformation with medical marijuana. Dr. Spaar spends her free time baking, biking and going on family adventures.
