He obtained his MD degree from the Faculty of Medicine of the National University of Trujillo, Peru. Completed his postgraduate training at Case Western Reserve University Hospitals of Cleveland, Ohio in 1973. He also practiced general medicine as the physician in charge of the Wellness Center at a local university in Steubenville from 2014-2019. He was involved in the treatment of drug addicted patients for seven months at a local specialized clinic in 2015.
He became certified by the Medical Board of Ohio to recommend medical marijuana (CTR) in November 2019.

He currently is focused on recommending medical marijuana treatments on patients with qualified medical conditions in the State of Ohio. He is a member in good standing of the American Medical Association (AMA), Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS), Ohio State Medical Association (OSMA), Ohio Medical Marijuana Physician Association (OMMPA). Fellow of the American Academy of Otolaryngology and Head & Neck Surgery.
