I've been very impressed with their service all around. They are very thorough on their phone calls before your appointment to make sure you are qualified well n advance. The facility I visited is in Fairfield in a good neighborhood and was very nice. Troy I believe his name was at the front desk was very nice and extremely helpful in sorting through all my records I brought in to locate the documents I needed for the doctor. The doctor was very thorough and patient in explaining to me many of the varieties of marijuana and which would be best for me. The only negative I had was the wait. My appointment was at 2:15 and I was not seen until right after 3. But all in all a very pleasant experience and I would recommend to anyone.
This place is a joke. For starters, the building is totally shady. The one I went to was in Finneytown, located in a tiny strip of office buildings. “HYTECH MED” was written with fluorescent marker on a piece of notebook paper and taped to the door. Classy. The guy who “greeted” me (I believe his name was Mike) acted as if he were too busy to bother with me and wanted me to just disappear. The doctor was dressed in some kind of psychedelic getup that would have been more appropriate for a 70s themed costume party. As requested, I gave them my lab reports proving that I had cancer. Then I asked for a copy to keep for myself. The nurse acted as if I had ruined her life by making such a request. I waited a good 20 minutes before she handed it to me. I never bothered going back for my follow up visit. And I’ve gotten at least a half-dozen phone calls from people who claim to be “affiliated” with these guys and who want to sell me CBD oil. I think you’d be better off buying weed from your friendly neighborhood dealer than to put up with these jerks.
Had a great experience. Nice, friendly, knowledgeable staff,.....great price!
There were a lot of people there, so I had to wait about 5 minutes after my scheduled appointment time, however the man checking me in helped make sure all the paperwork was done correctly in time for the appointment. I saw the doctor, she looked over my records, and answered all my questions about the medication. It seemed like a standard doctor's visit other than the subject of the questions. After the appointment I was told I would receive an Affirmative Defense letter within 2 weeks. Sure enough, the letter showed up in my email a little over a week after the appointment. I will be recommending Hytek Medical to all my friends and family. They made sure to follow through on their promises and walked me through the process step by step.
To begin the “doctor” was wearing flip flops and fluorescent colored shirt and pants, while the man, Troy, who talked to me after my dialogue with the doctor was wearing a cut off and swim trunks... I’m all for comfortability but seriously? Also they don’t return phone calls but when they do they act extremely rude. After going through the whole process of getting my appointment and acquiring my medical records (keep in mind they are all from 2017 and about 2inches thick) proving my qualifying condition under Chronic Pain, the doctor reviewed my records didn’t really say much other than standard questions. Then I met with Troy immediately after in another room where I specifically asked him after the doctor reviewed my records if there was “anything else I needed to do or bring in, anything at all?” And he looked through his few papers he had and looked back at me and said nope your approved your all good to go you should be receiving a letting by email by the 22 of August that will protect you from law enforcement until the official marijuana cards are distributed, that was on August 5th. Well it’s August 23 and no email, I actually received a voicemail yesterday saying that Hytek medical needed updated medical records. Did we forget the 2inch stack from 2017 that I brought in? So I’m currently just waiting in pain for a call back and hoping that I’m still approved like he told me in the first place. Horrible practice over all. 1/10
Very friendly doctor. She was extremely attentive , compassionate. The appointment was right on time. Staff was also extremely nice.
