How Much Does It Cost to Get a Medical Marijuana Card in New Jersey?

Medical marijuana is not covered by Medicaid or any other health plan in the State of New Jersey. For patients who have one or more qualifying diagnoses for medical marijuana, there is an annual fee of $100 per patient (or caregiver) payable to the New Jersey Department of Health (DOH). However, certain patients qualify for a discounted registration fee, if they are:

  • Receiving Social Security Disability Benefits (SSD)
  • Citizens in the New Jersey Medicaid Program
  • Receiving benefits from the Supplemental Nutritional Assistance Program (SNAP)
  • Currently receiving New Jersey Temporary Disability Insurance Benefits (TDI)

While some states require an annual fee, New Jersey residents are required to renew their medical marijuana card every two years. About Dr. Scott Hernberg at Tomorrow’s Wellness Center in Northfield, New Jersey

Dr. Scott Hernberg began his career in Peri-Operative Medicine, helping patients obtain optimal health before surgery, and during the post-surgical recovery period. Dr. Hernberg trained with some of the Nation’s leading Botanical Medicine, Functional, and Integrative Medicine experts.
