Compassioante Care Consultants will be seeing patients remotely via Telehealth for New and Renewal appointments during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Turning Point Integrative Health is a compassionate medical organization that specializes in medical marijuana treatment. Patients of this location will be seen by Silvia Hazel, FNP-C. With her holistic approach, the practitioner will work with the patient to develop a targeted treatment plan tailored to lifestyle of the patient and their qualifying condition. During the consultation, the Silvia will spend time with the patient discussing their presenting symptoms, their underlying condition, and the treatment methods they have tried in the past. Those patients suffering from chronic ailments that have not responded well to traditional treatments may find that a natural, alternative treatment, such as medical cannabis, helps to provide them with relief. If the practitioner determines that the patient will benefit from medical marijuana treatment, they will issue a recommendation that is recognized by the Maryland Medical Cannabis Program. The helpful staff will assist certified individuals with application submissions, making the entire process a stress-free experience from start to finish.

Patients of the Columbia Office will be seen by Nurse Practitioner Silvia Hazel. Silvia is a certified Family Nurse Practitioner with expertise in pediatric as well as adult health and wellness. Prior to becoming a certified Maryland Medical Cannabis practitioner she worked in Neonatal Intensive care before earning her Masters in Nursing from the University of Southern California.
While working in Neonatal Intensive care units, she began to recognize a significant need for integrative and functional therapies for patients across the lifespan. She also began to recognize how seemingly inconsequential events in utero, infancy and early childhood could greatly impact health later in life. This discovery led her to become increasingly interested in integrative and functional medicine, as well as decreasing environmental triggers for illness. Currently, in addition to helping Maryland pateints gain access to legal medical cannabis, Silvia is pursuing her certification through the Institute for Functional Medicine. She is very excited to join the Turning Point Integrative Health family and be able to practice in an environment where lifestyle and choices are valued.
Outside of work, Silvia enjoys spending time with her husband, daughter, and two puppies.
