Dr. Jones is the Medical Director of Glasgow Spine & Wellness in Newark, Delaware. Lake Charles Addiction & Wellness (IOP) in Louisiana. She graduated Summa cum Laude from Tulane University then went on Tulane School of Medicine where her interest in research blossomed. She has authored and co authored multiple peer reviewed medical journal articles. She completed a 2 year Research Fellowship in the department of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at University of Miami- School of Medicine.
After moving back to New Orleans, Dr. Jones was displaced by Hurricane Katrina. She came to Delaware and did her residency training in Internal Medicine at Christiana Care/Jefferson Health Services where she served on the Resident Council as the Internal Medicine Resident Representative. She has a special interest in Addiction Medicine has been Certified Buprenorphine Treatment Physician since 2009. She is dedicated to advancing the medical care and dispelling the environment of shame for patients with the medical disease of Substance Use Disorder.
Dr. Jones worked in Correctional Medicine as a Certified Correctional Healthcare Professional (CCHP). As the Medical Director she ran the Chronic Care Clinic and the Infirmary while supervising other medical providers and working closely with the non medical staff and correctional officers to coordinate care of the patient.
She is passionate about promoting wellness through a personalized and multi-factorial approach to medicine. We integrate allopathic and homeopathic practices in order to She provide comprehensive evaluation and treatment of their condition focusing on treating the cause of the issue not just the symptoms. Dr. Jones has experience in medical and interventional treatment of acute and chronic pain. We embrace non-operative and non-prescription medication modalities such as acupuncture, chiropractic care, medical massage, physical therapy, nutritional support, mindfulness education and spinal cognitive behavioral therapy to treat chronic pain. She also utilizes Medication Assisted Recovery medications for substance use disorders. Coordination with the clinical team to provides the complete care for an individual in recovery.
