Persona MD is a compassionate organization that provides IL residents medical marijuana consultations. Patients diagnosed with a qualifying condition in Illinois can request an appointment to meet with Dr. Taher Sobhy at either their Libertyville or Gurnee locations. During the evaluation, the Dr. Sobhy will review with the patient's medical history and previous treatments. If it is determined that the patient would potentially benefit from the use of cannabis Dr. Sobhy will discuss with them the risks and benefits of using cannabis to treat their condition(s). Once a patient has completed their consultation and has been approved, the physician will provide a written recommendation that is recognized by the Illinois Medical Marijuana Program, allowing the therapeutic use of cannabis.

Blew me off for first visit despite being pre-qualified by the site.
I chose Dr. Sobhy to be my medical cannabis doctor for treatment of my PTSD. I continue psychotherapy too. Dr. Sobhy explained the process to me and provided a lot of information about medical marijuana use; both the good and negative. He reviewed my records sent over by my psychologist, talked to me about my situation and confirmed the diagnosis. The paperwork isn't too bad either. I will see Dr. Sobhy 3x per year to check on my progress. If your in the N burbs, I recommend him.
