This Port St. Lucie medical clinic is one of Doctors Rx Medical Centers' 41 Florida locations offering medical cannabis evaluations and certifications. Area residents interested in using medical marijuana to treat their medical condition(s) can make an appointment for a consultation with an accredited physician to determine if they qualify for legal medical cannabis. Patients can be certified to use Low THC cannabis oil (CBD) under FL's 2014 Compassionate Use Act if they've been diagnosed Seizures, Cancer, Severe and Persistent Muscle Spasms or a Terminal Illness. Patients can also qualify to use marijuana containing both High and Low THC under Amendment 2 which was passed in November of 2016. To qualify for medical use under Amendment 2 patients must have a diagnosis of Chronic Pain, ALS (Lou Gehrig's disease), Cancer, Crohn's Disease, Epilepsy, Glaucoma, HIV/AIDS, Seizures, Chronic Muscle Spasms, Multiple Sclerosis, Parkinson's, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, or any other ailment/condition of the same severity/symptoms, when determined by a physician's opinion that the benefits of the medical use of marijuana would surpass any potential health risks.
Patients will be seen by a Humberto J. Rodriguez A., M.D. a compassionate doctor with over 40 years of experience. Dr. Rodriguez will generate and submit to the state a custom treatment plan tailored to fit each patients individual needs. Qualified patients will receive a state identification card allowing them to purchase medical marijuana products at one of the area's local dispensaries.
