This Fairfield County private practice provides comprehensive medical cannabis evaluations and certifications to eligible CT State residents. A Wiser Choice is owned and operated by Barbara Polowczyk, a Family Nurse Practitioner with over 28 years of experience to draw on when treating patients. Barbara has spent much of her career working in the emergency departments of various area hospitals, and has witnessed first hand the struggles many patients deal with who suffer chronic pain that is unresponsive to traditional drugs and therapies. When her husband was unable to find relief from his chronic back pain they turned to cannabis. After seeing his success she has made it her mission to help others in their community get access to this life changing medicine. Patients will also receive assistance applying for their medical marijuana card with the CT Dept. of Consumer Protection.
Patients have the choice of conducting their evaluation either in the New Canaan CT office, or in the South Salem NY office, whichever is more convenient for them. Patients who meet state requirements will be certified for the use of medical marijuana and receive a card from CT allowing them to purchase their medication at a local dispensary.
