This private practice provides comprehensive medical marijuana evaluations and certifications for eligible patients seeking an alternative treatment for their current medical condition(s). Patients will be seen by either Dr. Charles Weng or one of the practice's certified nurse practitioners, who are state approved certifying medical practitioners registerered with the Maryland Medical Cannabis Commission (MMCC). Dr. Weng is exceptionally experienced in evaluating patients for medical marijuana treatment. He started seeing patients almost 4 years ago after Maryland became the 21st state to legalize medical marijuana in 2014. He has wealth of experience in the diagnosis and treatment of a diverse number of medical conditions and ailments.
The doctor will determine whether or not the use of medical cannabis may be beneficial and if its advantages outweigh any potential risks, the patient will be issued a written certification or recommendation. Prior to seeing the doctor, patients must apply on the MMCC Registry website and obtain an approval email from the state with their MMCC Patient ID Number. The doctor will need the Patient ID Number in order to issue the written certification on the same day of the initial visit.
