Requirements

To purchase marijuana anywhere in Nevada, you need a valid medical cannabis card. If you have an approved qualifying condition for medical marijuana, you can get your card in these five steps:

1. Request an application from the Nevada Division of Public and Behavioral Health for the Nevada Medical Marijuana Program (NMMP).
2. Visit a licensed doctor to complete the Physician’s Statement portion of your application.
3. Sign and notarize the application at a doctor’s office, bank, local government building or UPS store.
4. Submit your application to the NDPBH for approval. They’ll check for completeness and accuracy and also run a criminal background check.
5. Wait to receive your temporary approval letter, which you can use at Medizin for 30 days until you receive your official card in the mail.
