Local cultivators grow Maui Grown Therapies’ weed using the most environmentally-friendly procedures possible. For example, they run their equipment and facilities using solar power and water their crops with recycled irrigation water. Respecting the environment allows Maui Grown Therapies to pursue their mission of healthy lifestyles for all.
During your first visit, the staff at Maui Grown Therapies will ask you for your medical marijuana card, or 329 card. Both terms refer to a license that certifies you as a member of Hawaii’s medical cannabis program.
To sign up, go to the program’s website and follow the online registration process. The site will ask you to scan some personal documents and request proof of cooperation from your doctor.
If you have a medical marijuana card from a different state, dispensaries in Hawaii won’t allow you to purchase medical marijuana products. Starting in 2018, Hawaii will approve out-of-state cards.
Depending on lab testing availability, Maui Grown Therapies may require you to schedule an appointment ahead of time. When in doubt, call ahead to make sure you can conduct a walk-in visit.
Maui Grown Therapies operates at 44 Paa St., Kahului, between Maa Street and Laa Street. Take enough cash with you to cover your purchase amount. You can’t request medicine delivery.
Maui Grown Therapies is Hawaii’s first medical marijuana dispensary. As a pioneer in the medical cannabis industry, Maui Grown Therapies is paving the way for future establishments in the state. When undergoing the state’s evaluation, they proudly received a nearly perfect score.
The staff and advisory board at Maui Grown Therapies put passion into everything they do. Trained by a cannabis researcher and writer, the budtenders have the expertise to counsel you on your medication journey. Physicians, growers and researchers come together to oversee the advisory board.
