New Hampshire Marijuana Law Reform: New Poll Indicates Strong Support

Recent polling data from Public Policy Polling indicates that there is widespread support for marijuana law reform in New Hampshire. The poll surveyed 857 New Hampshire voters between January 7-8, 2013. The 9 questions asked by Public Policy Polling asked questions about medical marijuana, marijuana as regulated like alcohol, the perceived safety and benefits as compared to other substances as well demographic information about the pollsters. A question regarding the regulation, taxation and recreational legal use of marijuana by adults age 21 and over showed 53% of pollsters would support the measure while 37% would oppose it, 10% were not sure. Another question regarding the change in the legislation to decriminalize marijuana for simple possession from a year in prison to a $100 fine had 62% of pollsters in support compared to 27% who would oppose the measure and 11% who were not sure.
