In October of last year, American Seed & Oil Company, announced that it had concluded the largest hemp harvest across the borders of Vermont, within almost 60 years. Recently signed commitments between farmers and the Company, could possibly lead to the cultivation of 1,000 acres of hemp in 2015. Throughout the winter months, the Company will continue to work at gaining the interest and attention of the Vermont farmers, in an attempt to maximize the acreage available for hemp cultivation this upcoming season. CEO of Algae International Group, Inc., Steven Rash said in the announcement that, “In addition to our operations in Vermont and progress in New York, we are very pleased to announce the filing of an application to potentially expand our H
emp operations into the State of Kentucky. The possible expansion into Kentucky will assist in expanding our Industrial Hemp production, and increase inventories for processing the hemp biomass into CBD oil and other refined products.”
Jason Draizin, the CEO and founder of a New-York-based company that helps patients find a marijuana doctor called, MarijuanaDoctors.com, commented that, “Its about time more attention is being given to hemp and the tremendous capabilities it offers to farmers looking to cash in on a new crop. Hemp not only has numerous uses once harvested, but it is also a miracle cure for soil that has long been over burdened with the degenerative-genetically-modified-task of growing Monsanto seeds.”
